Further to a continuous quality monitoring of our product, we found that on some motorbikes model
F4 RC the oil filter cover can have a not correct flatness and some screws may not have the proper
tightening.
We ask you to provide the control and eventual update during the pre-delivery
and before consignment to the customer, during a service operation or at the first
convenient opportunity at your workshop.
It is necessary the replacement of the oil filter cover, the screws tightening’s check and the copper
grease application on the following VIN numbers:


F4 RC MODEL from VIN ….V006542 included

MATERIALS TO BE ORDERED:

- N° 1 part number 80C0B5295
- N° 1 part number 8000B3457

OIL FILTER COVER
O-Ring

MV Agusta suggest copper grease CRC Industries Ref. 10690-AB or equivalent to find on the
market.
OPERATING PROCEDURE:
- Upon reception of the spare parts, proceed with the actions / checks listed below:



Replace the oil filter cover cod. 80C0B5295 and the sealing ring cod.8000B3457
Oil filter cover screws: apply copper grease and tighten at 10 Nm (4 screws)

Oil pan screws: apply copper grease and tighten at 10 Nm (15 screws)
Oil pipes flange screws: apply copper grease and tighten at 10 Nm (5 screws)

To operate properly on the oil pan screws and oil pipes flange screws It is required to remove the
exhaust manifolds:
1. Remove the left fairing, right fairing and the belly pan
2. Remove the oil radiator fixing screws and remove it from the support pin; remove the oil
radiator from the exhaust manifolds as much as possible
3. Remove the exhaust protection cover cod. 8A00B3682 and protect with soft material the
right footrest assembly:

5. Remove the fixing screw of the exhaust manifold located in the area of the exhaust valve
cables pulley
6. Remove the manifold’s fixing nuts on the head stud bolts and remove the exhaust manifold
in order to reach the screws (picture):

7. Remove the screws one at a time, apply copper grease and tighten at 10 Nm

Gear selector cover screws: apply copper grease and tighten at 10 Nm (3 screws)
In order to have access to the selector cover screws is necessary remove the water pump and
the sprocket cover removing the screws indicated in the picture:

NOTE: it is not necessary to drain the cooling system and disconnect the clutch pump tube

Clutch cover screws: apply copper grease and tighten at 8 Nm (11 screws)



phonic wheel cover screws: apply copper grease and tighten at 10 Nm (5 screws)

Front calipers screws: apply copper grease and tighten at 40-42 Nm (4 screws)



Rear caliper screws: apply copper grease and tighten at 18 Nm (2 screws)



Sidestand support plate screws: apply copper grease and tighten at 23-25 Nm (3 screws)

Silencers support screws: apply copper grease and tighten at 10 Nm (2 silencer fixing screws, 2
rear chassis fixing screws)




Complete the motorcycle in all its parts, for anything not indicated, refer to the service manual.
Test the motorcycle before delivery to the customer.

Send Warranty Claim for reimbursement in addition to the full details of the motorcycle and parts
codes/quantity, indicating the following details:








In the note of the warranty claim, please refer to service bulletin N°170.
The reimbursement of the warranty claim will be processed through Invoice, as usually.
