Customer:
Forest River is alerting you to an issue involving certain 2021-2022 Rockwood, Flagstaff travel trailer and fifth-wheel
recreational vehicles. Please see the information below which describes the issue and provides you with details on the
steps you should take to have your vehicle repaired.
WHAT IS THE ISSUE?
The Wi-Fi Ranger Teton Wi-Fi Booster Hood/Cover may develop cracks.
OWNERS: WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
Please contact your dealer and request a service appointment to schedule the free repair within one year of receiving this
notice. This TSB will expire on December 31, 2022 or at the end of the Forest River’s Manufacture Warranty. The vehicle
Owner is responsible for arranging to have the work completed. Please state you have been notified by Forest River of
the issue and provide the TSB number (located at the top of this page) to the dealership. It is also helpful to give the
dealership a copy of this letter when you take your vehicle in for the repair.

HOW LONG WILL THE REMEDY PROCESS TAKE?
The estimated time of repair is .50 hours. However, the dealership may need to keep your vehicle or schedule an
appointment with you for a later date to fit into their regular service schedule.
DEALERS: WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
1. Inspect Wi-Fi Ranger for cracks. If there are no cracks found, submit a claim via Dealer Connect for the Inspection
Code Only. No pictures are required for inspection only
2. Inspect Wi-Fi Ranger for cracks. If cracks are found take pictures showing the cracks and submit a claim via Dealer
Connect with pictures of the cracks using the Replacement Code Only.
Contact Rockwood/Flagstaff for a replacement part. Contact information below.
Pictures are required for the remedy and/or inspection after installation. Pictures of the remedy are a condition of
payment in which must be provided with a claim against the repair code(s).

If cracking has occurred, the Teton hood will need to be removed and
replaced. Please submit a claim via Dealer Connect with pictures of
the cracks using the Replacement Code Only. A replacement will then
be shipped.

What will you need for this fix:
1. 7/16” Wrench
With wire cutters, carefully cut the zip tie around the coax
2. #2 Standard Phillips Screwdriver
cables that creates a drip loop on the backside of the Teton.
3. #2 Phillips Extra Long Screwdriver
Slide back the plastic covers that protect the coax cables by
4. Teton Hood Replacement (RP-TE01)
gently pushing them backwards. Then, with a 7/16” wrench
5. 5510™ Adhesive Sealant, Clear
disconnect the Black OTA coax and White Radio coax from
6. Wire Cutters
the coax cables that enter the RV.
Next, remove the QTY 6 screws that secure the hood to the base of the Teton.
Remove any excess sealant that blocks access to these screws. Be sure to not
damage the rubber roof.
Carefully lift the hood away from the base as shown to the right with the 3
arrows. If the carrier stays attached to the hood, carefully remove and replace
back onto the base. Next, remove all sealant from the carrier as circled in the
picture at the bottom right of this page.
Snip the zip tie and then remove the QTY 3 screws that secure
the OTA antenna from the removed hood by using a #2 Phillips
Extra Long Screwdriver. Pull the cables up through the center
hole of the hood.
Install New Teton Hood (RP-TE01)

With the new hood replacement, feed the Radio and OTA coax
cables through the top of the hood and then use the #2 Phillips
Extra Long Screwdriver to reattach the OTA antenna with the same
QTY 3 screws that were previously removed. Use a zip tie to
create a drip loop, just as it was previously in place. Reconnect
the coax cables and slide the cable covers back in place.
Add a thick layer of 5510™ Adhesive Sealant to the carrier as shown in the
circled areas in the picture to the right.
Reattach the new hood to the existing base with the QTY 6 screws that were
removed in Step 2. Do not overtighten these hood screws. Ensure that back rib
of the hood is aligned with the top of the carrier and sealant is present around
both the sides and top of where the hood meets the carrier as shown in this
picture. Also, inspect sealant around the base and replace, if needed. The seal
could have become compromised while removing the hood.

Veuillez appeler immédiatement votre concessionnaire et demander un rendez-vous de service afin de planifier
l’inspection ou le remplacement à l’intérieur d’un an suivant réception de cet avis. Ce BST expire le 31 décembre 2022 ou
a la fin de la période de garantie du fabricant Forest River. Le propriétaire du véhicule est responsable de planifier et de
s’assurer que le travail soit effectué. Veuillez mentionner que vous avez été avisés par Forest River du problème et
fournissez au concessionnaire le numéro de BST (se trouvant dans le haut de ce document). Il est aussi utile de remettre
une copie de cette lettre au concessionnaire, lorsque vous apporterez votre véhicule pour effectuer la réparation.

1. Vérifiez l’absence de fissures dans le Wi-Fi Ranger. Si aucune fissure n’est trouvée, soumettez une réclamation via
Dealer Connect pour le code d’inspection uniquement. Aucune image de la réparation n’est nécessaire après l’installation.
2. Vérifiez l’absence de fissures dans le Wi-Fi Ranger. Si des fissures sont trouvées, prenez des photos montrant les
fissures et soumettez une réclamation via Dealer Connect avec des photos des fissures en utilisant le code de
remplacement uniquement.

Déconnecter la borne positive et négative de la batterie des véhicules, déconnecter toute batterie du
véhicule, s’assurer que la génératrice (si le véhicule en est pourvu) est hors tension et finalement,
s’assurer que le véhicule est déconnecté de l’alimentation externe. Caler tous les pneus/roues pour
prévenir le roulement du véhicule. Le défaut de respecter ces instructions pourrait entraîner une
électrocution, un incendie ou autres blessures corporelles, des dommages matériels ou le décès.

Retirez tout excès de mastic qui bloque l’accès à ces vis. Veillez à ne pas endommager
le toit en caoutchouc.
Soulevez délicatement le capot pour l’éloigner de la base comme indiqué à droite avec
les 3 flèches. Si le support reste attaché au capot, retirez-le soigneusement et replacezle sur la base. Ensuite, enlevez tout le mastic du support comme indiqué sur l’image
en bas à droite de cette page.
Coupez le lien zip et retirez les 3 vis QTY qui fixent l’antenne OTA du capot retiré à
l’aide d’un tournevis Phillips no 2 Tournevis extralong.
Tirez les câbles vers le haut par le trou central de la hotte.
Installer une nouvelle hotte Teton (RP-TE01)

Avec le nouveau remplacement du capot, alimentez la radio et les
câbles coaxiaux OTA À travers le haut du capot, puis utilisez le
tournevis Phillips extralong #2 pour fixer à nouveau l’antenne OTA
avec les mêmes vis QTY 3 que celles qui ont été retirées
précédemment. Utilisez un lien zip pour créer une boucle
d’égouttage, comme elle était précédemment en place. Reconnectez
les câbles coaxiaux et remettez les cache-câbles en place.
Ajouter une couche épaisse de 5510™ Adhesive Sealant sur le support comme
indiqué dans les zones encerclées dans l’image de droite.
Fixez à nouveau le nouveau capot à la base existante à l’aide des vis QTY 6 qui ont
été retirées à l’étape 2. Ne serrez pas trop ces vis de capot. Assurez-vous que la
nervure arrière du capot est alignée avec le haut du support et qu’il y a du mastic
d’étanchéité autour des côtés et du haut de l’endroit où le capot rencontre le
support, comme le montre cette image. Inspectez également le mastic
d’étanchéité autour de la base et remplacez-le, si nécessaire. Le joint a pu être
endommagé lors du retrait du capot.
