Summary
The Polestar
Technical Development (PTD) program provides Polestar technicians with a training
path from apprentice level to master technician. Enrolling in the PTD will provide technicians with
the training and knowledge required to efficiently and safely repair and maintain Polestar Battery
Electric Vehicles. An included assessment structure allows technicians with existing experience to be
inducted into the PTD structure at the right level for their abilities.
The PTD allows Polestar Service Points to scale technician resources to workshop demands. Ensuring
that the available technician skill levels can be utilized effectively to quality check, maintain, repair,
and diagnose both HV and general vehicle systems. PTD is organized into clearly defined groups with
training requirements and assessments set out to achieve each level. With the introduction of the
Quality Technician course, workshops will now be enabled to free up critical High Voltage Technician
resources and better meet current capacity needs.

Introduction
Polestar has introduced a new dynamic training and development service point support model. With
quality at its nucleus and intelligently engineered processes, this program will help each business
scale to meet its unique market demands. Courses will be delivered through the latest learning
technologies in distance learning and in-classroom instruction, bringing the learner into an immersive
and tactile learning environment.
This outline serves as a guide to the PTD technician roles and development plans. Each development
plan is a living and growing path towards quality perfection. Therefore, we must keep a forever learning
mindset when approaching this model. As new challenges arise, new learning opportunities will be
made, encouraging us to become better. We thank you for being a valued partner along this journey.

Summary
A Quality Technician will inspect Polestar products to Pre-Delivery quality standards, guaranteeing
each new client receives a consistent and high-quality handover experience. This role also plays a
critical part in maintaining workflow and aligning work to skill capacity management.
