PERFORM THE PROCEDURE OUTLINED IN THIS SERVICE INFORMATION ON ALL
AFFECTED VEHICLES THE NEXT TIME THEY ARE IN THE SHOP FOR MAINTENANCE OR
REPAIRS AND PRIOR TO RETAIL DELIVERY.
Affected Vehicles
This service action affects Ghost (RR21) and Cullinan (RR3I) models produced from November 8%, 2021 to
November 12", 20721.
Situation
The affected vehicles have been identified as having a potential issue concerning the fuel tank feed line push-
fit connector not properly connected. This could result in a fuel smell inside the vehicle, fuel leak, and possibly
no fuel supply to the engine with error code ‘Drive Train Defect’ if it goes unchecked.
Vehicles that have been identified within this campaign will need to have the fuel tank feed line connection
checked and refitted if necessary.
Information
A technical campaign has been launched to ensure that all vehicles have the fuel tank feed line checked
and refitted if necessary. Dealer personnel should use Integrated Service Processes Application (ISPA), S-
Gate “Campaigns for Vehicle” to check whether a vehicle requires this technical campaign or via Aftersales
Information Research (AIR). Please see bulletin “AlO 2016 Recall / Technical Campaign Check” for details.
Procedure
The fuel tank feed line connection at the delivery unit must be checked to ensure:
e itis installed correctly, and
e the locks are fully engaged
To access this connection, the fuel tank needs to be lowered.
Step 1. Lower the fuel tank. Refer to ISTA / AIR repair instructions 16 11 O30 - removing and
installing the fuel tank.

Note: The fuel tank does not need to be completely removed to carry out the check. It is
possible to check the connection by supporting the fuel tank and lowering it down.
Step 2. Locate the fuel tank feed line connection shown circled in “red” in the picture below.
Step 3. Compare connection on the vehicle to the example pictures provided below to identify
properly installed fuel tank feed line.

Step 3. Reinstall the fuel tank following the repair instructions 16 11 O30
Working on fuel system.
Risk of fire! Explosion hazard!
* When working on the fuel system, make sure that the workbay is sufficiently ventilated, 6.9.
using extraction unit.
* Tightly seal off open lines and connections; collect any escaping fuel directly at the point of
exit.
* No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Contact with hazardous fluids.
Hazardous to health!
+ Note and follow safety information on containers.
* Conduct all work in appropriate personal protective equipment only.
i TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Collect and dispose of emerging fluids. Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.
c RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to propeller shaft during removal.
Non-observance of the removal guidelines for the propeller shaft on the rear axle
differential may cause severe damage.
* Do not disassemble the three-hole flange, flexible disc and propeller shaft. The three-hole
flange to the rear axle differential is balanced with the flexible disc and propeller shaft.
+ Loosen the recessed nut against the direction of travel in clockwise direction. The propeller
shaft must be loosened on the recessed nut only and exclusively in the direction of rotation
otherwise the anti-twist lock of the bi-hexagonal flange nut is damaged.
* In the event of a damaged anti-twist lock on the bi-hexagonal flange nut Replace the rear
axle differential.

renewal. The part list below is provided as supplemental information.
