2.0 Rear Camera Isolated Video Cables

Purpose:
This bulletin provides instruction for installing isolated rear camera video cables from the camera to the driver
dsiplay in the vehicle cab. Oshkosh has received reports of non-working rear cameras, installing isolated video
cables allows for easier camera troubleshooting.

Notice:
• This bulletin should be read and understood in its entirety before performing this procedure.
• All procedures outlined in the bulletin must be performed by skilled service personnel. Refer to the product
service manual for descriptions of maintenance procedures.

Procedure:
Lockout/Tagout
1. Place unit on a flat surface, block truck tires, and perform your company’s Lockout/Tagout procedure. If your
company does not have a Lockout/Tagout procedure, follow OSHA 1910.147 and 1910.146 Confined Space as
appropriate.
2. The vehicle’s BATTERY DISCONNECT switch is located on the left-hand side of the battery box. Use the
battery disconnect switch when performing any maintenance so the vehicle cannot accidentally be started.
a. Turn the battery disconnect switch (Figure A, Item 1) counterclockwise so the hole on the switch aligns
with the hole in the bracket (Figure A, Item 2).
b. Install the safety lockout device ring (Figure B, Item 1) through the holes on the battery disconnect switch
and the bracket.
c. Install a padlock (Figure B, Item 2) onto the safety lockout device ring, lock it, and put the key in your
pocket. If more than one person is working on the vehicle, each person must install his or her own padlock.

3. Remove the driver display from the overhead panel, see Figure 1.

4. Disconnect the video cable from the driver display, see Figure 2.
5. Connect new cab video cable (A000V384) to the driver display video connection port, see Figure 2.

6. Remove the cab right-hand upper wireway cover, see Figure 3.

7. Route the female end of the cab video cable behind the front overhead panel and along the right side of the
cab to the electrical cabinet, see Figure 4.
8. Continue routing the cab video cable through the electrical cabinet to the cab bulkhead connectors and
through the bulkhead to the left-hand frame rail see Figure 4.

9. Connect the male end of the chassis video cable (A000V380) to the female end of the cab video cable.

Route the chassis video cable along the left-hand frame rail, see Figure 5.

Locate the camera connector and disconnect from the hood harness connector, see Figure 6.

12.

Connect female end of rear video cable (A000V380) to camera connector, see Figure 7.

Route rear video cable from camera connection along hood harness and cooling harness to the left-hand
frame rail, see Figure 7.

14.

Connect the rear video cable to the chassis video cable.

15.

Adjust cable lengths as needed to make connections.

16.

Install zip ties to secure the rear, chassis and cab video cables to existing vehicle harnesses.

17.

Reinstall the driver display.

18.

Reinstall the cab right-hand upper wireway cover.

19.

Remove lockout/tagout.
