We would like to provide information regarding the layout of the Fuel Tank Breather and
Drain Hoses on the Multistrada V4. This information also outlines the precautions which must
be observed for correct positioning of the hoses in case of maintenance and/or repair on the
motorcycle.

NORMA Clamp (1): after tightening the clamp, turn it with the locking device facing
downwards, as indicated by the white arrow.
L.39 Button Tie (2): connection tie for canister filter breather hose and upper hose for
joining water radiators.
L.62 Button Tie (3): connection tie for canister filter breather hose, hose from purge valve
to canister filter, and breather hose from fuel tank to canister filter.

cable 1.

L.39 Button Tie (7): tie connecting fuel tank canister filter breather hose/drain hose to
expansion reservoir drain hose.
L.39 Button Tie (8): tie the purge valve/front head knock sensor and front lambda sensor 1
branch (where present) to the hose running from the engine to the purge valve.
Hose Grommet (9): Route front lambda sensor cable 1 (where present) inside the hose
grommet.

WARNING
Make sure that all the hoses (especially the green hose from the canister filter to the
fuel tank plug and the blue breather hose from the canister filter to the “Y” union) are
not blocked/pinched as shown in the figure.
