Warranty Extension: 2018–20 Accord A/C Condenser

What is the reason for this Warranty Extension?
On some 2018–20 Accord models, the A/C condenser may leak refrigerant.
American Honda
is extending the warranty on the A/C condenser to 10 years from the original date of purchase
with unlimited miles. This warranty extension provides coverage for the original owner and any subsequent
owners. No action is required on your part unless you experience a problem.
This warranty extension only covers vehicles that have a defective A/C condenser from the factory. The A/C
condenser was not manufactured to specification. As a result, corrosion may develop in the form of tiny holes
in the condenser tube walls that allow the refrigerant to leak out.
This does not apply to any vehicle that has a leaking condenser due to foreign object damage.
It also does not apply to any vehicle that has ever been declared a total loss or sold for salvage by a financial
institution or insurer, or has a branded or similar title under any state’s law.
What will Honda
do?
If your vehicle’s A/C condenser leaks refrigerant during the extended warranty period, call any authorized Honda![]()
dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle inspected. If the leak is determined to be a result of the
defective A/C condenser, the repair will be done for FREE. Please plan to leave your vehicle at the dealer for
at least one day to allow them flexibility in scheduling.

Please forward a copy of this notice to the lessee.
What to do if you feel this notice is in error
Our records show that you are the current owner or lessee of a 2018–20 Accord involved in this warranty extension.
If this is not the case, or the name/address information is not correct, please fill out and return the enclosed,
postage-paid Information Change Card. We will then update our records.
If you previously paid to have your vehicle’s A/C system inspected and A/C condenser replaced, you may be eligible
for reimbursement, even if you no longer own the vehicle. Refer to the attached reimbursement instructions for
eligibility requirements and the reimbursement procedure.

refrigerante.
American Honda
está extendiendo la garantía en el condensador del aire acondicionado (A/C) a 10 años a partir de
la fecha original de compra, sin límite de millas. Esta extensión de garantía brinda cobertura al propietario original
y a cualquier propietario subsiguiente. No se requiere ninguna acción de su parte a menos que usted experimente
algún problema.
Esta extensión de garantía solamente cubre los vehículos que tienen un condensador del aire acondicionado (A/C)
defectuoso de la fábrica. El condensador del aire acondicionado no fue fabricado a especificación. Como resultado,
se puede crear corrosión en la forma de orificios muy pequeños en las paredes del tubo del condensador que

vehículo. Si se determina que la fuga es un resultado de un condensador del aire acondicionado (A/C) defectuoso,
la reparación se realizará de forma GRATUITA. Por favor haga planes para dejar su vehículo en el concesionario
por lo menos un día, para permitir flexibilidad en la programación de la cita.
Información para el arrendador
Por favor envié una copia de esta notificación al arrendatario.
Qué debe hacer si considera que esta notificación es errónea
Nuestros registros indican que usted es propietario o arrendatario de un vehículo Accord 2018–2020, el cual forma
parte de esta extensión de garantía. Si no es el caso, o si la información de nombre/dirección no está correcta,
por favor llene y devuelva la Tarjeta de Cambio de Información anexa pre-pagada. Con esto actualizaremos
nuestros registros.
Si usted anteriormente ha pagado por inspeccionar el sistema del aire acondicionado (A/C) y el reemplazo del
condensador del aire acondicionado (A/C) de su vehículo, usted puede calificar para un rembolso, aunque ya no
sea el propietario del vehículo. Consulte las instrucciones para reembolso que se encuentra anexa para ver los

Eligibility Requirements
You may be eligible for reimbursement if you meet all the requirements:
• You paid to have your vehicle’s A/C condenser inspected and replaced.
• The repairs were completed, or started, prior to the notice date; repairs made after the notice date
must be administered by a Honda
dealer.
• You owned the vehicle at the time of repair. You are still eligible if you no longer own the vehicle.
• You provide a paid invoice.
Please complete this form and attach the items listed below. Failure to include all requested information
will result in delays and possible denial of your request.
Your invoice must include:
1. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
2. Name and Address of facility, mileage, and date of repair
3. Diagnosis and itemized cost of repair – parts and labor
4. Proof of Payment – proof of payment that identifies the amount paid for the repair. For example:
cashed check, credit card receipt/invoice, cash withdrawal receipts. (Note: Please black out
