Symptoms
Window emergency Buzzer will sound without the window being open, normally only when it
is cold temperature
Issue

The Window Magnet will not make contact to the lact switch as the
Window frame contracts and expands depending on the Ambient temp
Solution:

Perform the attach procedure replacing the latch switch frame

Attach is the repair procedure and parts replacement

Subject: Replacement of Magnet in Vertical Push Out Window
Models Affected: 2008 and newer C2

Subject: Alarm sounding that vertical push out is open and the window is locked.
There have been reports of the alarm on the vertical push out window sounding in a non-open condition. This
procedure will replace mechanism that controls the reporting of the door open state.

Procedure:
1) Place bus in Park/neutral and chock wheels on bus.
2) Turn ignition off.
3) Remove vertical push out window from bus.
4) Before starting replacement, make sure that you have these tools available:
Long nose pliers
Flat head screw driver
Slide bar assembly with spring pin, switch and magnetic shield and slide retainer.
(Left hand window THSP-67008, Right hand window THSP-67009)
Magnet
5) Lift red handle on the vertical push out window and open window.
6) With pliers, remove the two slide retainers as shown in Figure 1.

7) Throw out the used slide retainers. Figure 2

8) On the top of the window frame disconnect the wiring as shown in Figure 3.

9) Remove the two white wires from the side of the frame leading down to the handle.
10) With a long pair of needle nose pliers, disconnect the spring ring from the tab at the top of the window.

11) With a Philips head screwdriver, remove screws F and G in Figure 5

12) Remove screws H and I. Figure 5
13) Remove the cover to the handle. Figure 6

14) Remove the lock fork (K) and handle (L) Figure 7

15) Remove the sliding bar assembly (C) from the handle side and discard Figure 8

16) Put new sliding bar assembly into place.
17) Install the new slide retainers using a rubber hammer. Figure 9

18) Put in place the lock fork. Figure 10

19) Reinstall the red handle.
20) Reinstall switch cover using the four screws taken out in steps 11 and 12
21) Lift the red handle and open inner frame to expose the magnet located on the frame side above the lock
guide. Remove magnet with flat head screw driver and remove any glue residue. Figure 11

22) Position the bottom of the new magnet to be flush with the top of the lock guide and .2 inches (.2 for sash
window only, .49 for panoramic and T-Slider window.) from the frame’s outer edge. Press firmly in place.
The magnets dot mark must be oriented downward. (If available, use a drop of cyanoacrylate glue on the
magnet’s tape before gluing it.)
23) With long needle nose pliers, reattach the ring of the spring to tab.
24) Lift red release handle to stretch spring. Loop wires around the tab before inserting the wires in groove.

25) Insert wires into grooves.
26) Close the window into exterior frame and lock the window.
27) Reconnect the window wire terminal to top of the window.
28) Reinstall window in the bus.
29) Un-chock tires.
