SERVICE INFORMATION
After replacing a BCM in an Applied Vehicle the TPMS must be configured with the correct
“DATA PART NO.” to complete the repair OR a DTC C1769 (CONFIGURATION SETTING)
may be set.
Use C-III plus through Manual Configuration to do this.
The configuration setting is based on the vehicle’s tire pressure (see Table A below for
vehicle tire pressures).
Configuration procedure is as follows:
1. Locate the “TIRE AND LOADING INFORMATION” sticker (Figure A, page 2) and then
write down the correct tire pressure for the vehicle.
2. Choose the correct DATA PART NO. listed in Table A below for the vehicle’s tire
pressure and write it down.

3. Connect the plus VI to the vehicle.
4. Connect the AC adapter to the CONSULT PC.
5. Turn on the CONSULT PC, and then open C-III plus.
6. Press the vehicle’s power (“ignition”) switch one time without depressing the brake
pedal.


The meter and gauges will illuminate.
CAUTION: Do Not start the vehicle.
NOTE: Make sure all accessories are turned off.

7. After the plus VI is recognized, select Re/programming, Configuration.
NOTE: Make sure all applications other than C-III plus are closed.

8. Click on the Confirmed Instructions box and then select Next.

9. Select MURANO and 2015 or Automatic Selection (VIN).


If Automatic Selection (VIN) is selected, wait for the Reading VIN screen to
complete (picture not shown).

10. Select Select.

11. Verify the VIN in VIN or Chassis # matches that of the vehicle’s.


If the correct VIN exists, select Confirm.

19. After the data transfer has completed select End.

20. Register all four TPMS sensors.
NOTE: Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), section WT-Road Wheels &
Tires for further information.

21. Clear DTC’s.
