Charging Pedestal Modification Kit From Aluminum to Glass

Information:

Conversion of charging pedestal from aluminum to glass.

Note:

The introduction of the Porsche Compact charging pedestal has meant that various types of sockets
are available on the market. In order to reduce the diversity of materials, Porsche has decided to offer
a modification kit for the old charging pedestal that also includes a black glass socket. Another reason is
that the "E-Mobility" logo is no longer used by Corporate Identity at Porsche.

opposite side of the charging pedestal.

Shut off pre-fuse unit and secure it to prevent it from being inadvertently switched on again.



Never re-use a damage component.

Isolate charging pedestal from the power supply (remove or shut off fuse).

Remove Porsche Universal Charger.

Open the door  Figure 3 -1-.

Disconnect power cable  Figure

Disconnect vehicle plug  Figure 3

Unwind vehicle charging cable
completely from the charging dock.

Remove the back and front.

Remove the back.

Insert key  Figure 8 -1- through
the opening in the rear closing plate
 Figure 8 -2- ( Figure 8 -a-).
Press the key in against the
resistance and turn it counter
clockwise Figure 8 -b- (lock
opens).

Install suction cup  Figure 9 -1on back panel  Figure 9 -3-.

Pull the suction cup to open a gap
 Figure 9 -a- on the back.

2.1.4

Lift the back by approx. 2 to 3 cm

 Figure 9 -b- until the guides 
Figure 9 -2- come out of the mounts
(cheese head bolts)  Figure 9 -4-.
Remove the back from the frame.

Remove mounting plate.

Secure the mounting plate  Figure

down.
Unscrew cheese head bolts 
