Summary
Hino INSIGHT is a fully integrated connected vehicle platform for Hino customers. It includes INSIGHT Telematics by Telogis which allows fleet managers to monitor driver and vehicle performance. INSIGHT Remote Diagnostics will alert fleet managers in real time of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) with a severity code, so they can plan their service. INSIGHT Case Management ties the process together. A case is created with every DTC and updates the customer throughout the service. All maintenance history is stored for their records. All of this is standard on 2017MY trucks.

What is INSIGHT?
Hino INSIGHT is a fully integrated connected vehicle platform for Hino customers. It includes INSIGHT
Telematics by Telogis which allows fleet managers to monitor driver and vehicle performance. INSIGHT
Remote Diagnostics will alert fleet managers in real time of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) with a
severity code, so they can plan their service. INSIGHT Case Management ties the process together. A
case is created with every DTC and updates the customer throughout the service. All maintenance history
is stored for their records. All of this is standard on 2017MY trucks.
Which Hino models can be equipped with INSIGHT as an aftermarket option?
Any 2013MY truck or newer can be equipped with INSIGHT. Please note that there are different part
numbers for Conventional and COE trucks.
How do I order the kit?
INSIGHT kits can be ordered through your Dealership Parts Department. Refer to page one of the
announcement for the package part number that the customer would like.
What if my customer has a mixed fleet and would like to purchase INSIGHT for non-Hino vehicles?
The provider of INSIGHT Telematics, Telogis, does have solutions for other fleets. Please contact your
Telogis Dealer Account Manager for details at [email protected] Also available are upgrade
options such as Hours of Service electronic logs and refrigerated unit monitoring.
How does installation of the INSIGHT hardware work?
The dealer can quote the customer for installation. All installation instructions can be found on HinoNet,
including video tutorials. Installation typically takes less than a half hour.
