provides information that could assist in correct vehicle and diagnostic service.

A customer may complain of a rattle from the engine initially during acceleration,
that may have progressed to a continuous knock / rattle from the engine. Usually
during pull away, engine management light may be illuminated. And reduced
performance will be experienced.
Cause:
Unknown.
Action:
If the following DTCs have been logged DTCs P023A, P023B, P2CB2, please
continue to diagnose following WSM-33424, 100-00 General information –
description and operation powertrain control module.
If the following DTCs have been logged - P030X (Cyl 1,2,3,4,5,6), P1315,
P0505-22, please continue to diagnose following WSM-37955, 100- general
information – description and operation powertrain control module.
1 . Check the charge air cooler pump ensuring there are is no damage to the
pump connector. (Please see attachment)
2 . Check the associated link harness connections, ensure connector pins and
seals are located correctly and not damaged or displaced.
3 . Ensure there is a good earth and power to the pump and relevant earth
points are robust.
