ACTION: FOMs, SDMs and RAMs are asked to ensure that PILOT PROGRAM dealers are aware of this
new Versa, Maxima, Pathfinder, and Sentra specific Takata Repair Dealer Pilot
Dealer Announcement:
Nissan is committed to the safety and security of our customers and their passengers. In a continued
effort to contact owners of vehicles subject to Takata inflator recalls that have not yet been remedied,
Nissan is launching a limited-time 150-Point Point Service Offer Dealer Pilot program from November 2,
2020 through December 31, 2020.
 Owners will be notified of this offer in several ways:
o

Monthly NOTOR newsletters on November 5th and December 2nd

o

Email notification in mid-November (potential 2nd email in mid-December at Nissan’s
discretion)

o

Highlighted in the special offers section of the NOTOR Consumer Website for eligible
members



Communications will invite customers in to receive 150 complimentary NOTOR points

As a part of this program, Nissan is asking several select pilot dealers to use their NOTOR customer
contact information for specific VINs (lists can be access through the dealer NOTOR portal) and the
special call script included with this announcement to contact eligible owners. Dealers should offer the
customer 150 complimentary NOTOR points to cover basic services, such as oil changes, tire rotations,
replacement of in-cabin micro filters, or brakes and rotors.
Dealers completing the Takata recall repairs for the driver and/or passenger airbag will be reimbursed for
the points redeemed, via their Non-Vehicle Account in January, for each eligible VIN repaired during this
time period. If an eligible owner has their vehicle repaired at a non-pilot dealer, Nissan will reimburse the
non-pilot dealer for the NOTOR points.
 Nissan will use warranty claims information to validate campaign completion and eligible services,
so timely claims filing is encouraged. All claims must be submitted and paid by January 6, 2021 to
receive the service credit.

