DESCRIPTION:
If the sunroof shade is hanging down in the vehicle, follow advice under “Service”.
The installation procedure in the VIDA removal, replacement and installation instructions for the Sun
visor/Inner cover sun roof (VCC-371003-6) will be updated later.
The two movie clips add this information meanwhile.
SERVICE:
1. Preparation of Sun visor/Inner cover sunroof spare part (Movie clip 1).
After unpacking the spare part with P/N 39824859 (Blonde) or P/N 39824857 (Charcoal) please do the
following steps:
Note: Always use clean gloves when handling with the fabric.
Turn the fixation end of the console with the locking pin pointing upwards, lift up the roller blind.
Roll out approximately 11-15 inches, by turning it 2-3 times, place shade back in the fixation end and
lock it by turning the fixation end with the locking pin pointing approximately 45 degrees backwards.
Hold the roller blind firmly with your hand close to the fixation end in locked position. Pull the pin
(make sure to hold the roller) and install it 180 degrees (underneath). Make sure that the locking pin is in
place before releasing the grip of the roller blind.
Make sure that the roller blind fixation end still is in locked position.
The roller blind is now ready for installation in vehicle with the locking pin pointing down in a
reachable position.
Preparation before step 2
Remove the Sunshade according to VIDA (VCC-371003-6):
Path: Information, Repair Removal/replacement and installation, 83 Doors and lids, 836 roof hatch.
Note: Move the gliding guides all the way back by using the sunroof shade switch.
2.
Installation of Sun visor/Inner cover sunroof in vehicle (Movie clip 2)
Install the bracket with the sunroof shade and locking pin with four (4) screws.
Grab the beam of the roller blind (and keep it in place firmly) and remove the locking pin.
Pull down the beam with the fabric with one hand then hold the roller blind with the other hand.

Place the beam inside on the gliding guides one side at the time, stretch and adjust the fabric in the
guides.
Stretch the fabric and release the roller blind, slide it gently to the starting point till you hear one
click sound on each side.
VEHICLE REPORT:
Please submit a Vehicle Report of all cases with hanging sunroof shade.
Use concern area “Vehicle Report” and sub concern area “Support not needed”, use function group
8360.
