Procedure
Repair kit and terminal wiring comes with preinstalled sealed solder butt splices. The below
procedure is recommended to properly connect the wires.
1. Strip the harness wire 1/4", separate the wires strands.
2. Insert the harness wire into the sealed solder butt splice and intermingle the wire strands.
3. Apply heat evenly around the length of the tubing from the center out to the ends until the
tubing completely shrinks over the wire and the adhesive flows.
4. Continue distributing heat over the solder sleeve until the solder flows into the wire strands.
5. Remove from heat and let cool.
