The infotainment system privacy setting “Allow data transmission” may, in unfavorable
circumstances, change without user intervention. As a result, the vehicle sends data although
this function was previously deactivated manually.
Update infotainment system software.
IMPORTANT! Dealers are asked to remind owners during repair scheduling that the
“smart control” remote (and both rear seat tablets, if equipped) must be present in the
vehicle when they arrive at the dealership for this service.
No parts needed; software update only.
On or about June 18, 2020, the campaign code was applied to affected vehicles.

Date
This campaign expires on December 31, 2022. Repairs must be performed on or before this
date to be eligible for payment. Keep this expiration date in mind when scheduling customers
for this action. If a customer wishes to have this service performed after the expiration date,
your dealerships normal parts and labor cost associated with this repair will apply.
