** SOLUTION **
Cause
The Input shaft snap rings and the high range synchronizer cone snap ring selections
have been increased and the dimensional tolerances have been improved.
Solution
When looking up a chassis by VIN in IMPACT to order snap rings for these positions:
• Chassis built after the new snap rings were released into production (Jan 2019 for input shaft
and March 2018 for range synchronizer) WILL show all the snap ring options available.
• Chassis built before the new snap rings were released into production will currently NOT show
all of the thickness options available.
• Superseded part numbers DO show up in results.
• New part numbers DO NOT show in results.
To view all of the thickness options in IMPACT:
DO NOT fill in any fields for chassis information. Everything aside from the fields indicated
below should be left blank.
1. Under the Parts tab, select Title from the Additional search values dropdown.
2. Enter "transmission components" into the entry field.
3. Click on the result that comes up, then click on the first entry from the list that appears.
4. The snap rings can be found in the two sections indicated below (snap ring part numbers are the
same for all AMT models):
