Overview
Due to a logistical error, the generators for various vehicle types of the 718 (982) and 911 (991) model line
were interchanged.
The generators installed in the affected vehicle types with flat-four and flat-six engines are identical, however
the generators differ in the size of the pulley. Consequently, interchanging the generators results in the
nominal speed range of the relevant generator being exceeded or undershot. As a result, the battery may not
charge sufficiently or the generator may become damaged.
