Replacing CCP temperature sensor
The procedure for replacing the CCP temperature sensor on the DCT gearbox of the
aforementioned models is described herein.
Please note that whenever a vehicle is brought to the workshop with one of the DTCs in the
NCR (gearbox ECU) indicated on page 6, the individual component of the CCP may be
replaced with the relative procedure, subject to prior authorization, and it will no longer be
necessary to replace the complete CCP. The part numbers of the kits necessary for this
procedure are indicated in the following table. Note that these kits are only applicable for
vehicles with valid warranty coverage.

Protocol for Managing DCT Gearbox Repairs
-

Prior to any procedure, you must obtain ROL approval for sensor replacement.

-

The Dealer must complete the “DCT Gearbox Pre-Diagnosis Form”, attached to
Technical Information 2622 and attach it to a new ROL.

Replaced parts must be kept for at least 60 days, so that they may be returned if requested
or authorized for scrapping by SAT.
Replacing CCP temperature sensor (Fig. 1)
The following tools and equipment are necessary to carry out the procedure. These are the
same as the tools and equipment already indicated in Technical Information 2344
concerning replacement of the CCP pressure sensors:
•

CCP carrier plate Part No. 95978837 (AV 8837);

- IMPORTANT If not already in your possession, these tools must be ordered by you directly from our Spare
Parts Department in the quantities needed.

- IMPORTANT The utmost cleanliness must be maintained during all of the following operations; always wear
clean gloves, replacing them as needed, and use absorbent lint-free cloth and heptane to clean
and degrease components.

- IMPORTANT In the replacement procedures described as follows, ALL removed gaskets must be discarded and
REPLACED WITH NEW COMPONENTS during reassembly.

- IMPORTANT Check the expiration date of all products used in the following procedures before use.
NEVER use EXPIRED products.

 CCP temperature sensor (A) (Fig. 1)

- IMPORTANT Handle the new sensor with care to avoid damage.

 Fit the additional lower plate (1) and the additional right hand lateral plate (2) on tool
AM 107314, fastening with the screws included with the tool – Fig. 2.

 Fit the CCP carrier plate AV 8837 on tool AM 107314, fastening with the screws and nuts
included with the tool – Fig. 3.

 Remove the CCP (as indicated in Technical Information 2620).
 Mount the CCP (3) on the relative carrier plate AV 8837, fastening with the screws and
nuts included with the tool – Fig. 4.

 Disconnect the connector (4)– Fig. 5.
 Undo the indicated screw – Fig. 5.
 Remove the temperature sensor (A), lifting it outwards, and replace – Fig. 5.

 Gently fit the new temperature sensor (A) in the relative seat on the CCP, using caution
to not damage the sensor itself – Fig. 5.
 Apply Loctite 243 to the thread of the indicated screw – Fig. 5.
 Tighten the indicated screw to a torque of 2 Nm – Fig. 5.
 Connect the connector (4) – Fig. 5.
 While supporting the CCP (3), undo the indicated screws and nuts then remove the CCP
from the plate AV 8837 – Fig. 6.

 Refit the CCP onto the gearbox (as indicated in
Technical Information 2620).
 Remove the CCP carrier plate AV 8837 from tool
AM 107314, undoing the indicated screws and nuts
– Fig. 7.
