Overview of Approved Porsche A40 Engine Oils (47/19)

This bulletin replaces bulletin Group 1, #31/19, dated October 29, 2019.

As of 1984
Vehicle Type:
All Porsche vehicles for which Porsche A40 engine oils are allocated.
Note: Porsche offers special Classic oils for Porsche Classic vehicles (manufactured between
1948 and 2005). The individual products are listed in the Technical Information bulletin
"Recommended engine oils for Classic vehicles". Porsche recommends that you use Classic
oils for Classic vehicles.
Overview:
Information
Porsche AG has reached an agreement with the oil companies which involves setting a time limit on the
validity of our engine oil approvals.
The period of validity is between 2 and 3 years. The expiration date of the approval is given in the last
column in the list.
Once this validity period has elapsed, the approval in question is revoked unless an extension is
requested by the relevant manufacturer.
