DESCRIPTION:
Van Hool has been informed by ABC about a problem with the electrical supply of the
regeneration buttons located on the control panel in the engine compartment. To address
this issue, ABC Companies should modify the above mentioned vehicles before delivery
according to the step-by-step instructions mentioned in this work procedure.

JOB QUALIFICATION:
The task has to be carried out by an experienced automotive technician, trained in
electricity.

PREPARATIONS:
• Park the vehicle on a level floor. Apply the parking brake. Switch off the engine. Switch
off all systems and turn off the battery master switch on the dashboard.
• Put a "DO NOT START" warning message on the instrument panel before starting the
checks or repairs.
• Put chocks in front of and behind the drive axle wheels.
• Read the entire procedure before starting to work.

Action
In the battery compartment: turn the mechanical battery isolation switch to
the "OFF" position.
In the engine compartment, behind the control panel: locate the bundle
with green colored wires. Modify the bundle as follows:
a. Cut off the cable terminals of the green colored wires
b. Strip back the three green electric wires over a distance of 15 mm (0.58
inch).
c. Crimp the three green wires to cable terminal 11060884 from the kit (refer to
figure 4A). Cut off the eye of the cable terminal (refer to figure 4B) and
insulate the remaining part of the cable terminal with heat shrink tubing
10811202 from the kit (refer to figure 4C).

Register the works by means of the registration button located behind work
procedure WP1169 on the Van Hool customer portal. Write the text "WP1169
executed" in the "Remark" field. Labor allowance will only be awarded after
registration of the works.
