Title: Injector Driver Module (IDM) Bottom Kit
Applies To: VT 365 - 2002 to 2006 Model Year Engines
DESCRIPTION
An Injector Drive Module (IDM) bottom kit 5010598R92 has been released as a service replacement for the IDM bottom
module. Use of this kit enhances serviceability of the IDM as only the portion that has failed is replaced and does not
require programming.
SYMPTOMS
A hard start / no start symptom is typically is observed when an IDM requires service. If the power and ground are OK for
the IDM and you get any of the diagnostic trouble codes listed below, then replace the IDM bottom module part number
5010598R92.

WARRANTY INFORMATION - REFERENCE WPL 12-009G
Effective 4/2/2012 submitted warranty claims that require IDM replacement on VT-365 2002-2006 will only be supported
when the IDM Bottom Kit (P/N 5010598R92) is replaced during the repair. Claims with the full IDM (P/N 1845117C6 or
4307211R92) will no longer be supported. All DTC’s indicating IDM replacement are required to be noted in the claim
comments. The labor operation code to use is A12- 8199E which identifies the time as .6 hour when replacing the IDM
Bottom Kit. Should the full IDM require replacement, the dealer is required to open a case file with Tech Services and
reference that case file in the claim comments.
