WKE7 - Replacing Center Console Storage Compartment and Supplying Cupholder
(Workshop Campaign)

Information:

Based on findings from internal quality checks, the storage compartment in the center console
of the affected vehicles was replaced by an optimized storage compartment as an interim
solution before vehicle delivery. Additionally, the cupholder and - depending on the selected
vehicle equipment - the ashtray was removed from the vehicle.
As a result, the vehicles were delivered without a cupholder and without an ashtray in some cases.

Remedial
Action:

Replace storage compartment in the center console and supply cupholder and ashtray (if applicable - only
for I no. 9JD).
The following measures are required for this:

Vehicles:

Remove the storage compartment from the center console and dispose of it.
Insert new storage compartment with optimized rib or new cupholder and the ashtray (if applicable),
into the center console in accordance with the customer's wishes.
Place the new remaining unfitted storage compartment with optimized rib or cupholder/ashtray in
the vehicle.

Only the vehicles assigned to the campaign (see also PIWIS Vehicle information). There are 867 vehicles
affected in North America (108 Canada).

Before carrying out the following measure, please find out whether the customer prefers the storage
compartment or cupholder and (if applicable) the ashtray in the center console.
Carry out the following steps as required, depending on what the customer wants.
