Technical Service Bulletin Notification TSB #19-039

Dear Valued Dealer:
Jayco has determined that certain Model Year 2020 Jayco, Starcraft and Highland Ridge travel
trailers and fifth wheels manufactured with a LCI Awning, require a service repair. Awnings
built by LCI between June 26 and July 18, 2019 may contain an incorrect motor that is stronger,
drawing a higher amperage. The removal of a 15-amp fuse and installation of a 12.5 amp auto
reset breaker will ensure proper circuit protection for the incorrect motor.

Our records indicate that the following unit is currently part of the inventory at your dealership
and requires the Bulletin repair prior to delivery to consumer.

and process the Warranty Registration for this customer. All pertinent information regarding

LCI awning may contain an incorrect motor that is stronger and draws
higher amperage. The removal of the 15amp fuse and installation of a
12.5 amp auto reset breaker will ensure proper circuit protection.

REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS
Locate the power awning fuse (blue 15A) and replace it with a 12.5Amp auto reset breaker .
Plug the auto reset breaker directly into the same location where the blue 15A fuse was removed.
The breaker is not polarized, so it can be plugged into the fuse location in either direction.
The awning fuse is typically located in the Load Center, but may be in different positions in the fuse column for
each different model. Double check the label in the Load Center for location of the awning fuse.
There are two exceptions to the fuse being located in the Load Center:
JAYCO EAGLE MODELS : Awning fuse is located in a cabinet behind a false panel
JAYCO EAGLE MODEL WL: Awning fuse is located behind the Command Center panel
Please note the specific instructions.

 For most models (Jayco, Starcraft, Highland Ridge) the awning fuse will be located in the Load Center.
 Open the Load Center and the awning fuse will typically be located in the row of fuses (arrow).
FIG 2:
 Check the label in the Load Center which will show where the awning fuse is located.
NOTE: the awning fuse will not be in the position shown in this photo for EVERY model.
In this photo the blue 15A fuse was already removed and replaced.
 Pull out the blue 15A fuse for the power awning.
 Replace the blue 15A fuse with the 12.5A auto reset breaker.
 Close the Load Center
