Measure
Only in the event of a reported failed door soft close function and the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC B122D29) is reported in the specific door control
unit then apply this TPI

Check
Check the part number ‘suffix’ and software version of each individual door ECU then use the following table to take the retrospective action

IMPORTANT: All door control modules must be on part number suffix ‘H’ and at least software version 0129 after this repair

Any door control modules with suffix ‘E’ must be replaced as per ElsaPro repair instructions
If the rear door control modules are replaced, after running the ‘replace’ test plan, please also apply steps 12 and 13 of Measure 2

Measure 2
Only door control modules with suffix H and a Software version less than 0129 require a software update;

• The closed-circuit voltage of the vehicle must be at least 12.5 V during the reprogramming. Connect the battery of the vehicle to
an external power supply. For further information see the Maintenance manual.
• During the reprogramming switch off all unnecessary consumers (ventilation, seat heater, inside light).
• Because of the highest transmission stability you must use the diagnosis interface VAS 6154 (WiFi diagnostic tool) only in the USB
operation or the cable-connected VAS 5055 for the reprogramming (updating) of control units. If these units are not available, the
diagnosis interface VAS 5054 (A) can also be used in USB mode.
1. Place the ignition key in the remote key reader and switch on the ignition
2. Select and run guided fault finding. If a Target/Actual comparison is suggested, select NO

4. At SVM process screen enter (1) the specific SVM code 4V0DOORS06 (NOTE: the word DOORS in the SVM code is all letters) and then Adopt (2)
(see Figure 2)

5. Once software that requires changing is detected select Done/Continue (see Figure 3) Note: each of the four control units may be offered for
software update individually by the program. Follow prompts, the online connection willdeliver the required software to the tester

6. As each control unit is presented select Yes to deliver software. Follow screen prompts for each control unit (see Figure 4). All updates should take
the door control units to SW level 0130.

7. During the update a progress bar will be displayed. Note: the actual software load for all four control units will take approximately 30 minutes the
two rear control units taking the majority of this time (see Figure 5)

8. Once the update program has completed for all four control units, figure 6, follow the screen prompts to perform the automatic SVM and complete
the update
9. Once the update is complete carry out initialisation on the four electric window lifts and door mirrors
10. Use guided fault finding to clear any faults codes created as a result of performing this action
11. Carry out and ignition off/on cycle
12. The rear door control units will require a basic setting procedure to enable the power close function. First pre requisite is to slam shut all four
doors

13. Complete the basic settings test on both rear doors, these instructions are for the rear driver side door control unit (Figure 7), the passenger side
is similar;
