To assist you in identifying those vehicles that maybe eligible for this retrofit program, the DCSnet Warranty
Vehicle Inquiry has been updated with the VIN-specific Vehicle Comment shown below:

Please see SI B00 07 19 (DC 85 80 03 05 BV) Digital (NFC) Key Card - Retrofit Program to
provide one (1) Digital (NFC) Key Card one-time.

Note: Before performing this retrofit procedure or issuing a reimbursement and submitting a claim,
first confirm that the vehicle has the above Digital (NFC) Key Card Retrofit Program identifier in the DCSnet
Warranty Inquiry Vehicle Comments section.
Also review the DCSnet Warranty Vehicle inquiry - Repair History (Claims) section to ensure a claim
has not already been submitted for this action.
If you have an eligibility or coverage question, please contact the Warranty department through IDS by
selecting Coverage, Policy, Coding and Mileage Correction prior to performing this retrofit.

The early production vehicles listed below with option code
SA0322 (Comfort Access) are now eligible to receive one (1)
Digital Key Card free-of-charge (PN 61 35 9 436 659).

Any requests for additional Digital (NFC) Key Cards are not claimable under this retrofit program.
The G05 (X5 xDrive40i) produced after 12/5/2018; the G05 (X5 xDrive50i) produced after 12/4/2018; and the
G15 (M850i xDrive Coupe) produced after 10/24/2018 with option code SA0322 were delivered one (1)
Digital (NFC) Key Card as standard equipment.

PROCEDURE
Note: A vehicle programming/encoding procedure is NOT required to perform this retrofit.
Please provide eligible customers with the one-time goodwill offering work package below that applies.
Work Package #1 – Provide a customer with a Digital (NFC) Key Card (Qty one)
For eligible new in-stock vehicles, vehicles in-service at you center or a customer who arrives at your center
and presents the Digital Key Card Retrofit Program customer notification information, please order one (1)
Digital Key. When applicable, inform the customer to return to your center once the Digital Key Card arrives
so this retrofit can be completed and submitted.
Or:
Work Package #2 – Reimbursing a Customer for the purchased of Digital (NFC) Key Card prior to the
release of this Service Information Bulletin
If a customer previously purchased a Digital Key Card for their eligible vehicle, this customer is eligible to be
reimbursed for that purchase.
Only one (1) Digital Key Card can either be provided or reimbursed through this program.

CLAIM INFORMATION
The Digital (NFC) Key Card Retrofit Program, for eligible vehicles, is available one-time during the first 4
year/50,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

Providing the customer with a Digital (NFC) Key Card (Qty one)

Work Package # 1
Submit a claim for the BMW NFC Key Card part number at a quantity of one only (No labor).
For Work Package # 1 only: Reference this SIB number and work package #1 in the RO technician notes
and the claim comments (For example: B00 07 19 WP 1).
Or to:
Reimburse a Customer for their purchase of a Digital (NFC) Key Card prior to the release of this

Review and verify that the prior BMW customer-pay invoice is for the purchase of a Digital (NFC) Key Card
for an eligible vehicle.
If this customer-pay invoice qualifies, reimburse the customer (part only).

Submit for the customer-pay purchase expense under Defect Code 85 80 03 05 BV, as follows:
• Sublet Code 3
• The applicable customer-pay dollar amount in sublet for one (1) NFC Key Card (for the part, one, only
with no additional markup)
• Comment: Reimbursement for allowable expenses under the Digital (NFC) Key Card Retrofit Program
for a customer purchased (one) NFC Key Card
• Additionally, explain and itemize the claimed sublet amount on the repair and in the claim comments
Retain a copy of the customer pay invoice and their reimbursement (For example, a copy of the check
issued) in your files; this documentation may be requested by BMW during the claim review process.
