Introduction:
Effective December 2015, Allison Transmission, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of Allison TCM ReflashTM
V3.9. The intent of this Service Information Letter (SIL) is to inform the Allison Service Channel of the new version
and provide an overview of new features and improvements.
Installation of Allison TCM ReflashTM V3.9 Update Install
For a new user wishing to install the Allison TCM ReflashTM program on his/her PC for the first time, the user
must start by downloading the TCM Reflash V3.8 Full Install executable file from the Allison Transmission
Extranet. The download file, as well as the minimum PC platform requirements, can be found under the
EXTRANET APPLICATIONS menu options on the upper left side of the Extranet home page. Go to EXTRANET
APPLICATIONS >> SERVICE >> Allison TCM ReflashTM. At the bottom of the page is the Downloads section.
Choose ‘Allison TCM Reflash V3.8 Full Install’.
The Allison TCM ReflashTM V3.9 program is downloaded from the Allison Transmission Extranet. The download file
and minimum PC platform requirements can be found under the EXTRANET APPLICATIONS menu option on
the upper left side of the Extranet home page. Go to EXTRANET APPLICATIONS >> SERVICE >> Allison TCM
ReflashTM. On the right side of the page is the Table of Contents. Click on the ‘Downloads’ link to access the file, or
other links to view PC requirements, translator devices, forms & guides, etc.
Allison TCM ReflashTM V3.9 should be applied to the original installation of Allison TCM ReflashTM version 3.8.
Installation of Allison TCM ReflashTM V3.9 is as follows:
1. Click on the download link for the Allison TCM ReflashTM selfextracting file. Select “Save” to store the
file on user’s local machine.
2. Doubleclick to launch the executable and follow the onscreen instructions provided by the installer program.
3. Allison TCM ReflashTM users must have at least Allison TCM ReflashTM V3.8 installed on their machine
before installing Allison TCM ReflashTM V3.9. New installations should load the full install of Allison TCM
ReflashTM V3.8 from the Extranet then apply the patch for Allison TCM ReflashTM V3.9.

NOTE: In order to install and run Allison TCM ReflashTM on Microsoft® Windows® 7 and Microsoft®
Windows® 8, the user must have full administrator privileges and must have the User Account Control
feature turned OFF.
New Features and Improvements:
• Adds support for H 40/50 EPTM compatibility checking for Model Year 2016 ESS2 and EnerDel SIDs

Allison Transmission, Inc. recommends installing the latest drivers for translator devices to optimize the
performance of Allison TCM ReflashTM V3.9.
