Service Solution Title: SS 1033998 Shifter Retrofit on FCCC step vans to increase the life of the shifters and
keep cables free of kinks.
Applicable Vehicles: FCCC step vans built between 2013 and 2019.
Issue: Fix requires new shifter and adaptor plates to be installed in place of current shifter.
Case Study: N/A
Solution: See the attachment for work instruction D07-24870-000 and parts list on page 10. You will have
to know if vehicle is Gas or Diesel AND if the body builder was Morgan
Olsen of Utilimaster, as this will
directly affect which parts are needed. The hardware part numbers are given, but is to be considered standard
hardware, if not readily available from Freightliner Dealer.
