Our records indicate that a PRODUCT UPDATE has not been completed on this vehicle, refer
to the address card for the affected VIN. Your MDX previously had the transmission replaced
because of a leaking 9-speed automatic transmission fluid (ATF) warmer. As the issue was
under investigation when the transmission was replaced, your vehicle needs further action
before it is completely repaired.

What will Acura do?
Please contact any authorized Acura dealer for an appointment to have your vehicle repaired.
The radiator, all of the rubber coolant hoses, and O-rings will be replaced. Please plan to leave
your vehicle at the dealer for at least a day to allow them flexibility in scheduling. This work will
be done for FREE.
Additionally, there is a chance the engine was damaged because of the leaking ATF warmer.
The dealer will diagnose the vehicle, which may result in the replacement of the engine. The
work will be done for FREE.

Estimado FIRSTNAME LASTNAME,
¿Cuál es el motivo de esta notificación?
Nuestros registros indican que no se ha completado una ACTUALIZACIÓN DE PRODUCTO en
este vehículo, consulte la tarjeta de dirección para ver el VIN afectado. Anteriormente se
reemplazó la transmisión de su MDX debido a un calentador del fluido de transmisión automática
de 9 velocidades (ATF) con fuga. En vista de que el problema estaba bajo investigación cuando la
transmisión fue reemplazada, se necesitan realizar acciones adicionales a su vehículo antes de
repararse completamente.
¿Qué hará Acura?
Por favor comuníquese con cualquier concesionario Acura autorizado para coordinar una cita para
la reparación de su vehículo. El radiador, todas las mangueras de caucho del refrigerante y las
juntas tóricas (O-ring) serán reemplazados. Por favor haga planes para dejar su vehículo en el
concesionario por lo menos un día, para permitir flexibilidad en la programación. Este trabajo se
realizará de forma GRATUITA.
Además, existe la posibilidad que el motor se haya dañado debido a la fuga del calentador del
ATF. El concesionario diagnosticará el vehículo, lo cual puede dar como resultado que se necesite
reemplazar el motor. El trabajo se realizará de forma GRATUITA.
