On the vehicles affected by this bulletin, add a jumper on connector A175.

PROCEDURE

DANGER
Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop engine. Prior to working on the vehicle, set the ignition
switch to the OFF position and trip the main circuit breakers equipped with a trip button. On Commuter
type vehicles, set the battery master switch (master cut-out) to the OFF position.

Creating the jumper
1. Crimp pin terminals 562286 on both ends
of an 18AWG red wire, about 3 inches
long.
2. Crimp one pin terminal 562286 to the end
of another short 18AWG red wire.
3. Splice the bare end of the wire to the
middle of the first wire.
4. Seal the splice with heat shrink.
5. Insert terminals in cavities 8, 9 and 6 of
connector housing 563613 as shown on
Figure 1.

6. Insert secondary lock 563654.
7. In the Main power compartment (RJB),
locate the boost regulator. You will find it
above the TCM.
8. Unplug the connector (A175).

9. Connect the newly created jumper
connector to the harness, connector
A175.
10. Confirm proper operation of the
alternators.
