Reminders
Technical Reference Documents
Technical reference documents have been uploaded into the Helpdesk HD downloads
folder in MODIS. These references include a guide table for all Tech-Tips, OBD
pinout, ECU nomenclature, parameters for various systems, and other technical
documentation.
PDI Procedure
A component has been added to the PDI procedure. Maintainer operation is now a
part of the inspection. Refer to Bulletin 2547 for more details. The PDI procedure for
the 488 Pista Spider is now available in Bulletin 2546.
Fronius Setting Update
New settings for the Fronius Lithium-lon battery charger have been released. Details
are available in Bulletin 2520.
New Labels for Oil
The labels of some oils have been updated. The updates are listed in Bulletin 2507.
Battery Pre-Diagnosis Bulletin
When a vehicle comes in to the workshop with battery/charging system concerns, refer
to Bulletin 2495. If the vehicle needs an ROL, be sure to attach the completed form to
the ROL.
Accessory Parts
Before purchasing/installing an accessory part, email FerrariGenuine@Ferrari.com to
confirm the part compatibility and carbon copy the FNA Helpdesk. Include the Part
name, part number, and Vehicle VIN.
Getrag Marriage Inquiries
To receive marriage files for Getrag gearboxes, email the helpdesk and include the
vehicle VIN, ROL number (if applicable), and a picture of the gearbox 10-digit serial
number.
Challenge Code Password Requests
When contacting the helpdesk for challenge codes, be sure to include the following
information: model, VIN, challenge code, and cycle to be performed.

Todd Simone from Ferrari of Washington is our other winner of this quarter’s
“Thumbs Up”. Todd has been doing great work throughout the year, and finished
First place in the “2018 Ferrari Tech Challenge”. The Tech challenge is a competition
between twelve highly ranked Ferrari technicians from across the world. The
competition takes place over the course of two days with six practical and six written
exams. The competition is very intense and qualifying is an accomplishment on its
own. Todd bringing home first place is a great feat for the entire network.

Challenge
The Final race of the Ferrari Challenge series of North America Took place at Road
Atlanta in Brasselton, GA. The races in Atlanta were full of action and the weather
was great for spectators as it was 80 degrees and sunny all weekend long. The 2018
Challenge Series ended with the “Finali Modiali” at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza
in Monza, Italy. In Monza challenge drivers from all over the world battled on the
track to get the top spot on the podium. Dane Nicklas Nielsen and Christophe Hurni
took the titles for the Trofeo Pirelli and Coppa Shell classes (respectively).
