APPLICABILITY: Revero with GM 2.0Turbo Equipped Generator Engine

PURPOSE:To provide corrective action for MIL illumination pertaining to codes P0017 and P0014

Vehicles exhibiting the listed DTC’s (P0017 and/or P0014) the following action may be helpful.
The condition or concern may be accompanied by a sharp rattle noise from the generator engine on
startup.
Once the codes are verified it is recommended to change the oil and filter.
Remove the camshaft position actuator solenoids (call-outs 8 and 9 in fig.1 below), clean and inspect for
debris, torn or loose screens. If debris is found in the solenoid valve screens, clean thoroughly and
inspect again.
Clear the codes. Reinstall the cleaned actuator solenoids and start the vehicle in Sport mode. Test
drive the vehicle and confirm the codes do not return.
If the DTC’s set again after this process of cleaning and inspection, replace the affected solenoid clear
DTC’s and repeat the test.
It may be necessary to replace the engine oil and engine oil filter a second time or more.
Create a TSS case for this bulletin.

WARRANTY DISPOSITION: This repair is covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, in effect
for five (5) years from the in-service date with no mileage limitation.
