Title: Crankshaft Position Relearn Procedure for 2010 EPA Big Bore Engines
Applies To: 2010 MaxxForce 11 and 13L ESN: 4100000 and UP
DESCRIPTION
Miss-drilled flywheel on certain 2010 MaxxForce 11 and 13 Engines causing DTCs.
Perform the Crankshaft Position Learning Reset operation using ServiceMaxx as outlined below.

PROCEDURE
1. Connect the EZ-Tech to the vehicle.
2. Open ServiceMaxx and enter your ID and Password.
3. Turn the key to the on position with the engine off.
4. In ServiceMaxx go to Sessions > Parameters.
5. Locate ID: 95232 Name: Crankshaft Position Learning Reset Request.
6. Click on the value and change the value from No to Yes as shown below.

7. Select Program Engine. Once the programming is complete and successful cycle the key off.
Note: When programming, the value will change back to a NO. This may cause an error box to pop up stating unsuccessful programming. Click OK, the old
learned values stored in the ECM will be cleared out regardless. Proceed to step 8.
8. Road test the vehicle.
9. During the road test several decelerations will be needed to ensure proper functionality of the vehicle. Increase the engine speed to 1600 RPMs or greater for longer
than 10 seconds, then decelerate the engine speed below 1000 RPMs. Repeat 4 times.
10. Return back to the testing facility and let the vehicle idle for 5 minutes.
11. Shut the engine off and then recheck for DTC's. If no DTC's are present the repair is complete.
12. If Misfire DTC's have returned please troubleshoot fault codes per normal diagnostic procedures according to the MaxxForce® 11 and 13
