Complaint:
Flashing or SCN coding of airbag control units is not possible.
Cause:
The airbag control unit is locked after initial startup; flashing of software or SCN coding can no longer be performed in

this state.
Remedy:
This means that the claim cannot be encoded with damage code 82485 90 or 82485 F1 in these cases. In this respect we should like to remind you that the Pre Safe system is not a function of the restraint system. Issues with the

Pre Safe system cannot be resolved by remedial action in the restraint system (SRS) control unit. Please refer also to

GI 91.40-P-058462.
