Introduction

Some 2007 — 2011 model year Camry HV vehicles equipped with 2AZ-FXE engines may exhibit
a lack of acceleration, potential rough engine idle and possible engine. stall condition while the
vehicle is stopped. These symptoms will be accompanied by a MIL “ON” condition with
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P2111 (Thrattle Actuator Control System — Stuck Open). Follow
the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

© This repair is covered under the Toyota Federal Emission Warranty. This warranty is in effect for
36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.

« Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in
this bulletin.

« For California specification vehicles sold, registered, and operated in California, Arizona (12MY
only), Connecticut (starting with OSMY), *Delaware (starting with 14MY}, Maine, Maryland
(starting with 11M), Massachusetts, New Hampshire (OSMY-09MY), New Jersey (starting with
O5MY), New Mexico (10MY-11MY), New York, Oregon (starting with O8MY), ‘Pennsylvania
(starting with O8MY), Rhode Island (starting with OSMY), Vermont and “Washington (starting with
O9MY}, this repair is covered under the California Emission Warranty. This warranty is in effect
for 180 months or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

*In Delaware, Pennsylvania and Washington, CA Emissions coverage for Camry Hybrid is 84
months or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

Repair Procedure (Continued)
2. Replace the PCV valve. Figure 1.

A. Open hood and remove engine cover.

B. Remove PCV valve using 22 mm
deep socket. .

C. Apply Toyota genuine adhesive 1324, Figure 3.
