Summary
Some 2014 2015 model year GX 460 vehicles equipped with the 1UR-FE engine may exhibit a MIL ON condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P006A (MAP Mass or Volume Air Flow Correlation Bank 1). Some vehicles may also exhibit the engine running rough and light hesitation under acceleration. The condition may be caused by debris in the EGR assembly. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to address this condition.

Introduction
Some 2014 – 2015 model year GX 460 vehicles equipped with the 1UR-FE engine may exhibit a
MIL “ON” condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P006A (MAP – Mass or Volume Air Flow
Correlation Bank 1). Some vehicles may also exhibit the engine running rough and light hesitation
under acceleration. The condition may be caused by debris in the EGR assembly. Follow the
procedures in this bulletin to address this condition.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY
This repair is covered under the Lexus Federal Emission Warranty. This warranty is in effect for
48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in
this bulletin.

Repair Procedure
1. Using Techstream, confirm the following DTC is present:
P006A: MAP – Mass or Volume Air Flow Correlation Bank 1
Is DTC P006A present?
YES – Continue to step 2.
NO – This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable
Repair Manual.
2. Check PCV hose is connected and is NOT damaged.
OK – Go to step 3.
N/G – Repair or replace PCV hose.
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model and model year

3. Check intake system for vacuum leaks.
A. Check that the hoses are installed correctly.
B. Check for cracks in the hoses.
OK – Go to step 4.
N/G – Repair or Replace any intake system concerns.

Repair Procedure (Continued)
A. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
B. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
C. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / All Data / MAP
D. Read the MAP value with engine switch on (IG)
Standard: 80 - 110 kPa (600 – 825 mmHg)
OK – Go to step 5
NG – Replace Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor

5. Replace the EGR Valve Assembly.

6. Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature reaches 167◦F (75◦C)
or more.
7. Drive the vehicle at 37 mph (60 km/h) for 5 minutes or more.
8. Idle the engine for 30 seconds or more.
9. Confirm there are no drivability concerns and no pending DTCs have set.
