Product familiarity is the foundation of understanding repairs and submitting claims. To that end, as
part of the ongoing effort with the Joint Application Development (JAD) committee to ease the claim
filing process, please refer to the table below for common One Box After Treatment Device (ATD)
failure modes and requirements for filing associated claims.

For claims regarding a failure mode and/or cause described in the table on page 2, please provide the
following supporting information in the claim narrative that is filed via Detroit’s Warranty System:
• Power Service Literature (PSL) diagnostics for the active fault codes
o Include results/readings/values of each troubleshooting step
• Whether diagnostics led the tech to perform the ATD Checklist (Section 13.1 of the PSL)
o Include results/readings/values of each troubleshooting step
• Data from the DDEC Report
o See the table on page 2 for data requirements

narrative. It is not necessary to attach the DDEC Report Checklist to the claim; record checklist
values in the claim narrative. The DDEC Report Checklist is available via:
