Request for Parts: 2013-2014 Accord Rear Wheel Bearing Noise

Background
American Honda (AHM) is investigating certain 2013-2014 Accords with a complaint of a rear wheel bearing noise. The
noise can be described as growling, humming groaning, whirring, or roaring. To fully understand the cause of this
condition, AHM would like to collect specific parts from the vehicle prior to you attempting a repair of any kind.
Qualifiers
AHM is interested ONLY if the vehicle meets the following requirements:
1. VIN must start with 1HG.
2. Mileage must be less than 12,000 miles.
3. All 2-door, 4-door, L4 & V6 are accepted except for Hybrid.
4. No previous repairs to the rear knuckle/wheel bearing.
5. Must be able to duplicate the noise.
Action Required
If you have or know of such a vehicle, please call Technical Research & Support (TRS) Group at 800-880-1072. TRS will
need to record certain vehicle information and provide you with further instructions.
