Background
American Honda (AHM) would like to collect 250ml of engine coolant from certain healthy 2012-2013 CR-Vs, which fit the
criteria listed below.
Qualifiers
AHM is interested ONLY if the vehicle meets the following requirements:
1. VIN must start with 5J6.
2. All 2012 2WDs & 4WDs are accepted.
3. 2013 2WDs up to 5J6RM3H..DL030139 & 2013 4WDs up to 5J6RM4H..DL065948.
4. No previous repairs that led to new coolant being added to the cooling system such as:
a. Radiator replacement
b. Heater core replacement
c. Heater box replacement
d. Water pump replacement
e. Thermostat replacement
f. Engine repairs where coolant was drained.
g. Cooling system flushes
h. Accident damage repairs where new coolant was added.
Action Required
If you have or know of such a vehicle, please call Technical Research & Support (TRS) Group at 800-880-1072. TRS will
need to record certain vehicle information and provide you with further instructions.
