Summary
Technical Concern: This failure is the result of faulty message monitoring within the instrument cluster. Because the instrument cluster cannot properly detect and display the current cruise control status, the cruise control does not engage. Service Information: The recommended repair is to replace the instrument cluster. Only part numbers with suffix "G" or later should be used.

Customer Concern: The customer reports that the cruise control will not engage. When the driver attempts to
activate the cruise control system, the cruise control indicator symbol in the instrument
cluster will not change from grey to green. This particular complaint only occurs on vehicles
without adaptive cruise control
(ACC/PID).
Technical Concern: This failure is the result of faulty message monitoring within the instrument cluster. Because the instrument cluster cannot properly detect and display the current cruise control
status, the cruise control does not engage.
Service Information: The recommended repair is to replace the instrument cluster. Only part numbers with suffix
“G” or later should be used.
