TURBO INSPECTION AND REPLACEMENT
Prevost vehicles
DESCRIPTION
On the vehicles affected by this bulletin, perform a turbo replacement if fault codes
27 FMI 7 or SPN641 FMI 7 or P004607 (OBD13) are found. Bulletin affects D13H engines with serial
number from 984581 up to 1026719, excluded.

PROCEDURE

DANGER
Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop engine. In the battery box, set the battery cut-off switch
to the OFF position prior to working on the vehicle.
1)

Unless a special agreement exists with the customer, perform turbo repair only if you have the
following active fault codes:
•

27 FMI 7 or

•

SPN641 FMI 7 or

•

P004607 (for OBD13 engines)

If none of these fault codes are found, refer to special instructions in “Estimated Time”.

Follow detailed instructions provided in IMPACT, under “Service” tab.

3)

Use the following search criteria to locate the procedure:
•

Function group 255, Turbocharger.

•

Models PREVH or PREVX.

•

Identity 131589810.

NOTE
Maximum cleanliness is required throughout the procedure. Observe the recommendations outlined in
the procedure. Failure to follow these recommendations may cause serious engine damage.

PARTS / WASTE DISPOSAL
Return replaced parts to Prevost with A.F.A. for full reimbursement.

ESTIMATED TIME
If only an inspection has been performed and none of the specific fault codes are found, it is important to
leave the SAP notification open. These fault codes may appear later in the service life of the vehicle.
Please charge “inspection only” time in commercial goodwill.
To perform the complete procedure in this special bulletin, the time required is approximately 12.0 hours.
