Rear Disc Brakes, Replacing Rear Brake Pads and Rotors for Squeal
Note:
Read this bulletin in its entirety before performing any repairs.
For any vehicles that have already had this technical bulletin applied and the rear brake noise persists, call the
helpline for further assistance. Please be as specific as possible regarding the customer complaint and the steps
used when calling the helpline.
Customer concerns for rear brake squeal can be serviced up to 12,000 miles or 1 year from the in service date
(whichever comes first) by installing improved rear brake pads and new brake rotors.

Technical Background
Rear brake pad composition may result in a squeal from the rear braking system. Condition as described DOES
NOT affect brake performance.
