Safety practices should include but not be limited to properly supporting the chassis, axles, blocking tires, and a work area free of clutter.
Complaint: Power/Ground Lugs loose at connection points at circuit breaker or ground bar
Cause: Lugs incorrectly crimped or loose connections at circuit breaker or ground bar
Correction: Review lugs for secure installation and lug crimp (repair as needed)

Review Labor Time Allowance: .3 Hours
Step 1: Locate 100 Amp Circuit Breaker on inside of electrical box (lower right side) ‐ verify power connections are tight to circuit breaker and lugs are
crimped to wire
A. Verify connections to the circuit breaker are tight (50 in‐lb max) ‐ if loose tighten
B. Firm Tug on wire to ensure that lug is adequately crimped to wire ‐ if issue with lug see repair below
Step 2: Remove Amerex Controller (4 Black Screws)
Step 3: Remove Destination Sign Controller (Reach hand through Amerex opening to grab brass nuts on back side and loosen phillip screws on forward side)

Step 4: Reach hand through opening to back side of electrical box to find ground bar with 3 grounds secured with Bolt ‐ verify ground connections are tight
to circuit breaker and lugs are crimped to wire
A. Verify connections to the circuit breaker are tight (6‐8 ft‐lbs) ‐ if loose tighten
B. Firm Tug on wire to ensure that lug is adequately crimped to wire ‐ if issue with lug see repair below
Step 5: If everything is okay:
A. Install Destination Sign Controller (Reach hand through Amerex opening to grab brass nuts on back side and tighten phillip screws
on forward side)
B. Install Amerex Controller (4 Black Screws)
Repair #2 Instructions: Lug Repair Only
Review Labor Time Allowance: .5 Hours
Step 1: Remove Harness from Ground Bar with 11mm Deep Socket (making sure to keep bolt for re‐installation)
Step 2: All (3) Ground wires can be pulled through the back of the electrical box to install 2ga x 1/4 Lug to the A/C Ground Wire.
Step 3: Push all (3) grounds back through back of electrical box and re‐connect to the ground bar ( 6‐8 ft‐lbs).
