Information
Once the control unit has been programmed and coded, you will be prompted to switch the ignition off
and then back on again after a waiting time of 6 minutes.
The 6-minute waiting time with the ignition switched off is necessary so that on-board diagnosis of the
high-voltage system can be performed and completed as required after control unit programming. The
vehicle cannot be started until on-board diagnosis is completed successfully.

Read out and erase all fault memories.
Information
If the fault memories of individual control units cannot be erased, Steps 2 and 3 must first be carried
out and the fault memories of these control units must then be erased separately before starting to
locate and correct faults.

Calibrate the electric machine.
Information
The electric machine must generally be calibrated after the fault memories of the OBD-relevant
control units or the fault memories of all control units have been erased.
The rotor position (phase angle) and rotor temperature are stored during calibration of the electric
machine.

Press and hold the brake pedal.

Turn the ignition key in the ignition lock to position 2 (terminal 50 – engine start) and hold it at
this position for about 2 to 3 seconds.
Calibration of the electric machine is clearly audible. Calibration is complete once the calibration noise can no longer be heard.

Release the ignition key and switch off ignition.

Turn the ignition key in the ignition lock to position 2 (terminal 50 – engine start) again to check that
the engine starts and that no error message is displayed in the instrument cluster.

Information
If the engine will not start and the prompt "Park vehicle safely" appears in the instrument cluster,
on-board diagnosis of the hybrid system may not have been completed fully.
If this happens, switch off the ignition, disconnect the PIWIS Tester from the diagnostic socket on the
vehicle and lock the vehicle. Wait for at least 6 minutes. Then unlock the vehicle and try to start
the engine again.

If the fault memories of individual control units could not be erased before, read out and erase the
relevant fault memories again.
Information
If the passive (greyed) fault memory entry "D00000 - Function restriction due to fault in PSM"
is entered in the 'Electric power steering' control unit, please ignore this. The fault memory entry is
stored as a result of a communication problem between the control units caused by the PIWIS Tester
connected to the vehicle.
If the control units are found to have further faults, which cannot be erased and are not caused by
control unit programming, these faults must be located and corrected.
This work cannot be invoiced under the workshop campaign number.

On vehicles with Porsche Entry & Drive, replace the original driver’s key in the ignition lock with the
control panel again.

Information
After carrying out this measure, make sure that whenever the vehicle is driven prior to vehicle
handover, it is never in E-Power mode, but in hybrid, sport or E-Charge mode.
This ensures that driving the vehicle does not influence the calculation of the electric range again.
Depending on how much time has elapsed between carrying out this measure and vehicle handover to the
customer, the high-voltage battery may have to be charged fully again immediately before vehicle
handover in accordance with the specifications in the sales check in order to ensure that the highest
possible electric range is displayed in the instrument cluster.

from the working times published in the Labor Operation List in PIWIS.
