Dear Colleagues,
The coolant that is used in DB11 will change from Härtol Chemie FROSTOX® HT12, to BASF Glysantin® G40®.
The cooling systems of all DB11 vehicles from the VIN given above onwards, will be filled with the BASF coolant.
Glysantin® G40® is a reddish-violet coloured premium-grade coolant that has hybrid organic-acid technology (Si-OAT). It
gives the advantages of both coolants that contain silicates and those that do not have silicates. This gives excellent
protection from corrosion, and a long service life.
Glysantin® G40® is a concentrated coolant that you must dilute before use. The recommended mixture ratio is 50% G40:
50% clean water. This will give protection from freezing down to -38 °C (-36 °F).
CAUTION
DO NOT MIX GLYSANTIN® G40® WITH OTHER TYPES OF COOLANT. GLYSANTIN® G40® IS NOT
CHEMICALLY COMPATIBLE WITH OTHER COOLANTS.
Note:
Clean water must be used. Demineralised or distilled water is recommended, but you can use tap
water if it is not harder than 3.5 mmol/l. If you are not sure about the water quality, or your tap water
is very hard we always recommend the use of demineralised or distilled water.

When sufficient stock is available, you will be sent an initial stock order of one box that contains 12 x 1.5 litre bottles of
Glysantin® G40®. This can be up to five weeks from the date of this Service Policy Letter. If you need replacement
coolant before you receive your initial stock order, please speak to AMTech.
