Customers may state
that they cannot activate
satellite radio free trial.

An issue was found on a number of XE and F-PACE where the Sirius XM
ESN number was not correctly scanned when at the factory. If a customer
who is having difficulty setting up the subscription, please submit an EPQR
with and include the vehicle ESN number.

InControl Touch Pro
features may not
function as expected.

Customers may report a number of concerns relating to the InControl
Touch Pro system such as: touch screen resetting, voice commands
repeated twice and phone operation. New software has been released on
DVD 146 patch 3 and NGI 001.00. Please make sure that both SDD
software levels have been successfully downloaded before updating a
vehicle. There have been a number of reports about satellite radio
function, this software will not resolve any satellite radio concerns. Timing
target for satellite radio resolutions is mid September 2016.

Customer may report
the vehicle does not
start (no crank).

A vehicle may come in for a no start/ no crank condition. Through
diagnosis if splice joint S3DB26J (under the passenger front seat) is found
to be the root cause, we ask you not to remove the tape from the splice.
Please cut out the splice and hold it for possible return for investigation,
then perform an approved wiring repair. If the no start concern is repaired,
please submit an EPQR with your contact information so the splice can be
shipped back for analysis.

InControl Touch Pro

A number of reports were received for missing files when trying to program
InControl Touch Pro as per JTB00496NAS2. A manual patch was created
to resolve this concern on SDD146.03, which is now fully resolved on
SDD146.04.

‘Transmission Fault’
message displayed on
instrument cluster with
DTCs P0933-62 &
P0936-64 stored in
TCM.

If TCM DTCs P0933-62 and P0936-64 are stored and no other TCM DTCs
are stored this may be caused by a splice concern with the transmission
internal wiring harness. A TSB will be released to provide diagnostics for
the transmission harness. The transmission solenoid valve electrical
harness will be released as a service part. The TSB will be published once
parts supply is available.

New PCM software was released on DVD144 P6 for 16MY.15 &
14MY PCM software is available on DVD 146.04 for Range Rover
Evoque only. Revised PCM software timing for 15MY Discovery
Sport models is TBC . TSB LTB00902NAS3 will be updated to
include 14 & 15MY RR Evoque models. It is important to leak test
the exhaust system for faults, as detailed in the service publications.

An error has been identified with certain PCM calibration files that could
cause this DTC to set in error. Revised PCM software has been developed
to address this concern and is scheduled to be released on DVD 146.05.

Customer may state
water is leaking onto
floor area.

A limited number of vehicles built between K37656 and K40670 may have
the evaporator drain blocked by body seam sealant. A TSB will be
published to address this concern once sufficient parts supply is available.

A customer may report
that the load space
cover support peg(s)
has broken.

A new lower level service repair kit has been made available to replace the
load space cover pegs without replacing the entire cover. Should a load
space cover peg need to be replaced, please refer to TSB LTB00960NAS1
for part and repair information to just service the load space cover peg.

that Homelink Universal
Transmitter does not
work.

Updated instructions on how to program the Homelink universal transmitter
have been updated in TOPIx Workshop Manual Section 501-09 > Rear
View Mirrors > Description and Operation > Rear View Mirrors. Please
refer to this section should a customer express a concern. The instructions
now include an erase all before the programming is started and updates
for new style garage door openers.

Rear license plate plinth
may become detached
from the vehicle prior to
a customers license
plate being installed.

The rear license plate plastic plinth is installed from the factory with double
sided adhesive tape. Heat and humidity can cause this adhesive to fail
causing the plinth to detach from the vehicle. From VIN Y37612 the plinth
is secured in production with screws. 17MY vehicles built prior to this will
have screws installed at the port to ensure the plinth does not detach from
the vehicle. For unsold 16MY vehicles in your possession we request that
you install your license plate tag frame to the rear plate plinth to ensure the
plinth stays attached to the vehicle prior to the installation of the
customer’s license plate. If you should not have a license plate frame,
please retain the rear plate plinth with suitable washers and screws.

Customers may report a
creak type noise from
the rear of the vehicle.

This may be caused by the interior cross body brace rubbing on the BIW
structure. Should a customer express a concern, please refer to SSM
72784. This concern can be confused with the rear coil spring isolator
concern. Please ensure the vehicle is diagnosed properly.

Customers may report a
scraping sound from
under the vehicle while
accelerating.

This may be caused by a support cross brace that has been fitted to the
All Wheel Drive variants when it was intended for Rear Wheel Drive
variants. Update Prior to Sale UPS4816-6bNAS1 has been published to
remove this brace from All Wheel Drive models. A measurement of the
contact wear to the cross brace is used to determines if the driveshaft
requires replacement or can just be repainted.

Details and Status

This is an extension of the various CCF format issues,
we have reported for 16MY vehicles.
Originally associated with Q588, the known vehicles
affected have expanded, but these spurious issues can
effectively be ignored.

DELAYED AGAIN: Final update was NOT included on
SDD146.04 due to other priorities, and is re-scheduled
for SDD146.05.
Continue to observe the advice in the existing service
alerts.

Details and Status
This was an unexpected bug created by changes for datalogger to
obtain “live” help text in the background from TOPIx similar to how
DTC help text is currently delivered to SDD.
This issue has been resolved on SDD146.04 released this week.
Users that are still finding any previously available signals missing
on current SDD software should raise an EPQR.

A manual patch is available to workaround the SDD functions
affected:

from hitting the customer

complaints about the
smell.

The software to accomplish this was released back in late March with the
reissue of TSB LTB00794NAS3. Any update to the climate control module
software on 13 – 16MY Range Rover and 14 – 16 MY Range Rover Sport
vehicles should introduce the same air distribution strategy.

Is there software coming for the
Gesture control tailgate similar to
that of RR Evoque?

Revised BCM software to eliminate the audible tone (double
beep) from the gesture tailgate modules sensing a gesture input
without a valid smart key within range is targeted to be released
on DVD146.06 due mid Aug. Please note: false gesture inputs
like water running past the gesture modules does not commonly
occur on Range Rover and RR Sport models like it did for RR
Evoque. Please ensure that the gesture modules are not loose or
being contacted by the exhaust heat shield causing the concern.

What is the progress on our diesel
hesitation issues (at high
altitude)?

New PCM software to address a hesitation or stumble concern
during light throttle applications at high altitude locations is now
available through a manual patch process. For vehicles with this
concern, please ensure no PCM faults are present in the vehicle.
Diagnose and resolve them prior to requesting a manual patch.
Submit a TA request on GCM providing details of the vehicle
concern and session file. The Technical HelpLine will provide a
manual patch for qualified cases.

Regarding the High Performance
brake noise concern, are we
supposed to be putting on the
latest part number listed on the
bulletin before we request the
assured parts?

Supply of the new higher compressibility brake pads will be very
limited initially until the supplier can ramp up to large scale
production. The new brake pad part number is restricted from
ordering and initially only be released upon a qualifying EPQR
submission. Once sufficient parts supply is available the
restriction will be removed and normal order process will resume.
