Background Information
Internal investigations have identified a need to replace the rubber bump stops on the underside of the rear
seat cowl.
Dealers are requested to remove the original rubber bump stops and replace with the rubber damper and
the three rubber bump stops supplied in the parts kit.

Customer Contact Instructions
Motorcycles in the affected VIN range must be modified prior to delivery to the customer, or at the next
visit to the dealership.

Other Instructions
Before returning the motorcycle to the customer, download the latest calibration to the engine control
module using the current version of the Triumph diagnostic software.
Once completed, please mark the Service Record Book that the requirements of this bulletin have been
complied with.

Seat Cowl Rubbers Replacement Procedure
Remove the seat cowl as described in the Service Manual.

Warning
Before starting work, ensure the motorcycle is stabilised and adequately supported. This will help prevent
it from falling and causing injury to the operator or damage to the motorcycle.

Caution
To prevent damage to the seats, seat covers or cowl, care must be taken not to drop the seats.
Do not lean the seats or cowl against the motorcycle or any surface which may damage the seat, seat
covers or cowl. Instead, place the seat or cowl, with the painted surface facing downwards, on a clean, flat
surface which is covered with a soft cloth.
Do not place any item on the seats which may cause damage or staining to the seat covers or cowl.

Place the seat cowl, painted surface facing downwards, on a clean, flat surface covered with a soft
cloth to prevent damage.

Remove and discard the three rubber bump stops.

Locate the replacement rubber bump stops to their respective positions and fit using a twisting motion.

4.

Fit the rubber damper over the locating peg with the castellated surface of the rubber damper facing
away from the seat base, as shown.
