This is to revise and replace Campaign 1552, dated 19-Aug-2014. This revision is to:
1. Clarify that the accompanying partial claim on Campaign 1462 applies only IF the ESN
is on Campaign 1462. The claim filed this way would remove an engine from both
Campaigns and prevent unnecessary shop visits and customer confusion, and
2. Clarify that this document does not authorize adding ESNs to any other Campaign.

Description
This Campaign authorizes certified repair locations to calibrate the ECM with improved
software, which will provide improved combustion stability.
NOTE: If Campaign 1462 has not been performed, please perform Campaign 1462 by

installing the latest calibration from QuickServe® Online on or after 01-Aug-2014. Claim
SRT 19-601, Electronic Control Module (ECM) Calibration - Transfer, to Campaign 1462
(if applicable) and claim SRT 00-90X, Administrative Time, to Campaign 1552. This
Campaign does not authorize adding ESNs to Campaign 1462 that were not already on
it. The filing of part to each Campaign, if engine is on both, will be an efficient way to
remove the ESN from both Campaigns.
NOTE: A claim with multiple ESNs is acceptable and encouraged.

Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1. will be covered In the Base Engine Warranty period, and
2. must be on the attached ESN list.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1. Install the latest calibration from QuickServe® Online on or after August 1, 2014. Please
refer to Engine Control Module Calibration Code, Procedure 019-032 in the ISL G
CM2180 Service Manual, Bulletin Number 4021649.
NOTE: If Campaign 1462 has not been performed, please perform Campaign 1462 by
installing the latest calibration from QuickServe® Online on or after 01-Aug-2014. Claim
SRT 19-601, Electronic Control Module (ECM) Calibration - Transfer, to Campaign 1462
(if applicable) and claim SRT 00-90X, Administrative Time, to Campaign 1552. This
Campaign does not authorize adding ESNs to Campaign 1462 that were not already on

NOTE: The ECM code and revision numbers from before and after the ECM recalibration
must be documented in the Warranty claim.
