This is to revise and replace TRP 1609-A, dated 11-Dec-2015. This revision is to:
1. Extend the expiration date to 31-Dec-2020.
If additional information is required, contact your Cummins Warranty Operations Group
Leader.

Description
This TRP covers the fleet count to change the ECM base code as a result of TSB130099 after
TRP1603 has been completed.

Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1. will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and

2. the ESN must show as OPEN on QSOL, and
3. must need calibration update after TRP1603 has been completed.
NOTE: Cummins will cover (1) "Fleet Count" regardless of warranty coverage. This filed
action does not cover ECM calibrations or SCR catalysts.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1. Please reference TSB130099 to determine the appropriate repair direction. There may
be additional information about the unit needed, such as type of SCR catalyst.
2. Perform SCR inspection per TSB130099 and/or TRP1479.
3. If the repair direction, as directed by TSB130099, requires an ECM base code change
then 1 Fleet Count, Cummins part number 3886396, may be claimed under this field
action.
4. Remove engine data plate ECM code change sticker. SRT 99-902 has been provided to
cover the labor to remove the ECM code change sticker. SRT time may be claimed under
this field action.
