This is to revise and replace TRP 1479, dated 01-Apr-2014. This revision is to:

Add .2 to the time field for the published document.

Description
As new ECM calibrations are installed, the compatibility of the ECM calibration and the SCR
catalyst must be maintained. This TRP is to allow for inspection of the SCR catalyst and

determine if it needs to be replaced during a repair event.

Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1. will be covered in the Base Engine or Emissions Control System Warranty period or CAP
Coverage period, and
2. must be on the attached ESN list, and
3. must not already have a compatible SCR catalyst as per Attachment B.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1. Inspect the SCR Catalyst. Is SCR Catalyst compatible as per attachment B or
TSB130099?
a. Yes - No further action is necessary. Please file for the inspection time (99-902)
allowed to check the SCR Catalyst.
b. No - Please install a compatible SCR Catalyst. ONLY inspection time (99-902)
should be charged to this TRP. All other charges associated with the replacement
of the SCR Catalyst can be claimed to the coverage that provides the most benefit
to the customer including Base Engine Warranty, Emissions Control System
Warranty or CAP coverage (if applicable) under failure code EQPEAW.

Material Disposition
Materials removed as a result of this field action must be scrapped.

There are no parts covered in this field action.
NOTE: SRTs to gain access that are required to complete the repair, that are sufficiently
explained in the claim narrative, may also be claimed on this action.
NOTE: SRT 99-902 is being provided to cover the labor with identifying the compatibility
of the SCR catalyst according to the TRP procedure. This SRT can be claimed with up to
a quantity of 2 (or .2 hours). 99-902 is the only claimable item for this TRP.
